Disclaimer: Working with LinkedIn is a dynamic process, and establishing your level of comfort with LinkedIn automation usage limits is likely to be a personal decision. If you have aggressive business and sales goals, you may be tempted to push the limits. But I advise you to be more cautious, always staying under the limits. That being said, I’ve been using these marketing automation tools for years with little to no issues. I’ve been temporarily locked out of my account a few times but nothing serious. If you do get banned from LinkedIn, don’t say I didn’t warn you. Now that that’s out of the way, let’s dive right in!

In this video we’ll introduce you to Octopus CRM, briefly describe the features, walk you through the entire process and show the benefits of using the software.
Full List of Tutorials:

I really like OctopusCRM because it offers you a complete easy-to-use dashboard with a clean interface which opens in a separate tab and runs independent of your other daily tasks. You only have four options: Connect, Message, Visit, Endorse. You simply enter the number of connections to pull into the CRM, wait a few seconds or minutes to collect the data, and start click a button to start running the process.

Octopus offers powerful yet super simple autopilot for LinkedIn that automates your work and has a wide range of awesome features:

  • Send automated (personalized) connection requests to 2nd and 3rd level connections on LinkedIn
  • Message hundreds of 1st level connections in bulk
  • Automatically endorse up to 7 skills on profiles of your LinkedIn contacts
  • Visit hundreds of profiles automatically
  • Monitor number of profile views & search appearances, social selling index, and evaluate the performance of your campaigns.

OctopusCRM offers four different pricing options — Starter, Pro, Advanced, and Unlimited. You can choose to pay for the monthly or annual subscription depending on how long you intend to use the software. I recommend signing up for the 2 week free-trial compatible with Sales Navigator and then deciding whether to upgrade to the monthly or annual subscription plan.

2. LinkedHelper – Powerful Marketing Automation

I’ve been so happy with LinkedHelper these past few months that I decided to upgrade to their $15 per month subscription. This is a very powerful marketing automation tool that’s available as a free Chrome extension. The only glaring downside of LinkedHelper is that it’s not possible to my knowledge to run the Chrome extension in a background tab during daily browsing habits. I would prefer a convenient way to keep the marketing automation process running while I’m browsing the web or watching Netflix. I’ll typically just leave the extension running while I’m sleeping. Also, the extension is slightly more difficult to install compared to its counterparts, but you can follow along to the short tutorial here.

Here’s the full list of features built into LinkedHelper taken straight from their website. You can easily invite new connections, send automated messages, invite 1st degree connections to any group you’re a member of, export a full list of visited profiles, and endorse new connections of their top 3-10 skills. The more endorsements you get in return will improve your overall search ranking over time.

  • Get thousands of targeted contacts by sending personalised invitations to 2nd & 3rd contacts
  • Auto-mailing system, Auto-Responder, Sequential Messaging to 1st connections or LinkedIn Group Members
  • Automatic Profiles Visiting & Export to CSV file (Google Sheets / MS Excel)
  • Boost your profile and get hundreds of endorsements from other users in no time
  • Invite 1st connections to join a LinkedIn Group
  • Automatically follow or un-follow LinkedIn connections
  • Automatically withdraw sent pending invitations (invites canceller)
  • Powerful Lists manager – allows to build your own lead generation funnel and avoid intersections between campaigns

LinkedHelper Pricing Plans:

  • Free trial license for 2 weeks (14 days)
  • $15 per month (1 month payment $15)
  • $13.33 per month (3 months payment $40)
  • $10 per month (6 months payment $60)
  • $8.25 per month (12 months payment $99)

3. Dux-Soup – Personalized Marketing Automation

Dux-Soup is one of the most popular marketing automation tools available for online marketing professionals to find prospects, attract them to your business, and engage them optimize sales conversions. I’ve been successfully using this powerful Chrome extension to strategically connect with 2nd and 3rd degree connections, follow up with new connections by sending personalized messages, endorsing people for their top skills.

It also includes a feature to download profile details which includes email addresses in addition to profile summary, full position history, all skills, and complete education. This email list can be used for personal outreach using email marketing tools like MailChimp and retargeting your ideal customers in Facebook or Google Advertising campaigns. They also offer regular webinars teaching how to best utilize the platform. You can find more information and register for their next masterclass here.

Pricing Plans: Forever Free, Professional, and Turbo

It’s easy to find the plan that’s right for you! Dux-Soup currently offers three paid plans: Starter, Professional, and Turbo. The Starter Plan is free forever but it comes with very limited functionality. I highly recommend upgrading to the Professional or Turbo Plan for optimum lead generation and LinkedIn Sales Navigator (they offer a 30-day free trial) which allows you to send up to 300 connections per day. Important note: Once your account hits 3,000 unaccepted invitations, you cannot send any more until you withdraw them.

4. Alfred – Advanced LinkedIn CRM for Marketing Automation & Social Selling

Admittedly, I don’t have a lot of experience with Alfred since it’s currently only available for Mac & PC users. Unfortunately, I’m limited to using Chrome extensions since my daily laptop is a Lenovo Chromebook. It’s super lightweight, converts into a tablet, with amazing battery life. A powerful feature that sets Alfred apart from the competition is multi-messaging sequences.

This nifty sales funnel feature allows you to follow up with a connection multiple times after a certain number of days. It also allows you to monitor important metrics including the number of profile views, invitations sent, how many accepted, conversion rates, and more. To avoid getting restricted by Linkedin for sending and having too many connection requests pending, Alfred allows you to automatically withdraw them so you don’t have to. You can read about the full list of features on the Meet Alfred website.

Alfred offers three pricing plans — Essential, Advanced, Professional — billed either monthly, quarterly, or annually.

You may have a strong LinkedIn profile, but your application is incomplete without a strong resume. Did you know that 98 percent of applicants are rejected based on their resumes alone? In addition, over 75% of resumes never get seen by a human eyes, and those that do are only looked at for a minimum of 3-5 seconds before the hiring manager makes a decision. Out of 250 applicants only 4-6 will actually be contacted for an interview. You can read more about How To Circumvent the ATS Resume-Filtering Botthat most recruitment firms use to screen qualified candidates, so you can start getting more interviews and hopefully land your dream job!

ResumeWorded is so awesome! You can use the Targeted Resume Tool to tailor your resume to a specific job description and get past annoying Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). It accomplishes this ambitious task by using leading edge Artificial Intelligence to grade your resume on over 20 resume checks that recruiters and hiring managers pay attention to. It then calculates and scores each of the bullet points on your resume and checks for key elements such as inconsistencies, length, style, word choice strength, filler words, keywords, and buzzwords.

However, most people don’t take advantage of LinkedIn. Most profiles on LinkedIn are vague and aren’t optimized for what they’re looking for. This makes your profile harder to find and results in you missing out on opportunities. That’s where our AI-powered engine comes in. Our platform gives you detailed tips to improve your LinkedIn profile, in addition to LinkedIn headline examples.
